As for me, I got a piercing today just after getting one yesterday. So worth it. It was painful, but SUPER awesome at the same time.

Satinjoy's post in the Unicorn Forest.  Their capture of the trans journey for non binaries was quite profound and moving.

I had a really nice dinner out with one of my transsisters.  It was nice to hear that she got a WAY better job after she was fired for being trans.  Nobody at her new job knows.

Saw a gender therapist today. Talked a bit a my sister's wedding coming up later in the year. He mentioned I'm fooling myself if I can easily hide what's going on with my body. A friend agrees.

It's nice to know that even if I can't always see the changes to me, they are happening and others can.

Finding out what my sister means by 'formal dress' for her wedding. While I can't wear what I want. "You will pry my jeans and tops out of my cold dead hands", I don't have to wear a suit and tie, I now have more freedom in the clothing department.

(Note to self stop eating so much chocolate till then)

A friend organised a bike ride this morning.
Turned into an epic disaster for him and he had to take the train home... Not good.

He brought along a friend who I had to look after. He has been trying to set me up with her for a while.
She was lost and had little idea where we were going. Took her all the way back to her car which was 2 hours out of my way which she was grateful for. Had to go through the city which was closed off due to a marathon being held today which made it harder.

Ended up with a 5 hour ride instead of 3. Oh well.

See what happens. I am sure my friend will be on the phone soon.
So long and thanks for all the fish

never quit chocolate, just meter it.  A meter now and then is a good thing. I'm glad your sister is being a bit loose of the definition of formal.

My fiction writing professor told me I "have a mastery of language that is incredibly rare for someone at an undergrad level". I mean, I kind of think that's more a reflection on the level of academics at my university (kind of a party school) but it was still pretty rad to hear.
That's really awesome and I wouldn't dilute it with asterisks about how good your school is if I were you. I've run into great professors at community colleges and more than one hack at universities.

What made me happy today was the rogue tomato plant in my front yard. The "yard" is actually maybe 6 feet of bark chips and shrubs between the sidewalk and the building, so it's kind of impressive to see anything unplanned sprout up. The random tomato plant made me smile.

Quit chocolate NEVER! Just watch the amount till the wedding,  we have all been raised top shelf stuff since we where knee high. Any trip up to Queensland requires the person to visit a special chocolate shop in Sydney and bring at least two of there bags worth of assorted goods for the rest of the family up there.

When I saw formal for my sister's wedding I was totally freaking out. Technically formal has specific gendered clothing, and I had I oh no moment with the prospect of wearing a suit and tie. Yes I will be wearing a long pants and a buttoned up shirt, but they will be from the womens section and I should get wear out of them again

I knew my earbuds had gone a little wonky, but not how bad until today when they broke properly and I replaced them -  :icon_eek: :icon_headfones: It's a whole new world.  Didn't know so many of my familiar songs have such beautiful bass lines. :P

Just a few minutes ago I finished trying on all the clothes I'd bought a few days ago. Most fit which was good, but just the sheer fact that I got to try on new clothes that are now mine, makes me happy, more so since they're more feminine looking too. :) The only thing that annoyed me was, still not having panty hose and also knowing I got to return the socks I bought since they're too small for me feet, AGAIN! (We're well past the 3rd try here, heck, past the 5th try here!) But, I'll shrug that off and focus on the positive here. :)

I hope to be able to devote a whole day here soon to going to town, shopping, looking around and best of all, looking at, trying on and buying clothes!  ;D
EDIT: And you know what, I may give in and go to the mall if all goes well! Haven't been there in like, 2 or 3 years now. Probably won't buy anything but, I'd LOVE to look around, especially in the women's departments for the first time ever!  ;D
