OK word junkies, A Word Dealer will present a word, then the rest of us will make a sentence using that word. That's it! i suppose i will have to be the first Word Dealer, since i've already been informed of the rules.

The first word is: Smoky

A word about the Word Dealer.

The Word Dealer will present the word, and keep it in circulation for a certain amount of time (usually long enough to allow everybody a chance to make a sentence).

If you have a word you want the Word Dealer to present, submit it directly to the Word Dealer. The Word Dealer will add the word to their Word List. But the Word Dealer makes the decision whether or not to actually present the word to be used in a sentence. All decisions by the Word Dealer are final!

The Word Dealer can remain as Word Dealer for an indefinite period of time. If you want to become Word Dealer, submit your name directly to the Word Dealer. He or she will then put your name in the Dealer List in the order received and work from the top down.

While the Word Dealer is required to maintain the Word List, and the Dealer List, and keep them up to date, she is not required post these, but may post them if she wishes.

The Word Dealer is not required to make a sentence, but may do so if she wishes.

The Word Dealer can add any word to the Word List at any time, and choose to present a word regardless of its position in the Word List. If the Word List gets too big, the Word Dealer can cull the Word List at any time. If the Word Dealer wishes, she may add the person's name to the Word List after a word, to remember who submitted which words, but this is not required.

The Word Dealer cannot change the order of the Dealer List, and when and if they are done being Word Dealer, if ever, only the next person on the Dealer List is eligible to become the new Word Dealer. The outgoing Word Dealer will then hand over the Word List and the Dealer List to the new Word Dealer.

I am the all powerful Word Dealer.  I am declaring the word to be the word suggested by Ell - "smoky"
Please note the spelling. This word is designed to confuse and frighten you.  It is the name of a mountain range in North Carolina and Tennessee.

   I will begin by sentencing the sentence;

I climbed upon a ridge in the Great Smoky Mountains and looked down upon smaller ridges and I saw Appalachia, but no apples.

The word will stay 'Smoky' for now because I, the mighty Word Dealer, am curious as to other meanings and usage might be available for this word.

Mary had long, delicate fingers and a delicious, smoky scent on her fingertips that always made me want to grab her hands and smell them.

would you please add the word "Transition" to the Word List?

Okay.  It's added, but I'd like to squeeze some more 'smoky' sentences out of people before 'transition' goes into play.

I was reading about a Martini named "the Smoky" Martini which is made using 2 and a half ounces of gin, a splash of blended scotch, and a twist of lemon.

Okay.  That's my last sentence.  I'm going to change the word to transition.  I'm not so sure that anyone on this site will have any idea in how to use it.   ;)
I'm also going to add the word tungsten to the list.

I just added the word "cannonball".  Come on, we need some people to use a sentence with the word 'transition'.  There must be some creative mind out there.

The word in play after this post is "transition"

The LIST:
the RED word is in play.  Beneath the red word in play is the list of words yet to be used.   The Blue words are used ones.
