'Ms. Pelosi and Congressman Barney Frank are attempting to scuttle a transgender-inclusive Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) by introducing a new, separate bill covering sexual orientation only, as well as a token bill on gender identity.

The House leadership is planning to bring the bill without gender identity protections to a floor vote on Friday, Oct. 5, and pass it. The token bill on gender identity is not expected to reach the House floor'.
