Does the forums server cache all displayed images?

I'm wondering this because one of the tickerfactory.com date counters in my signature is running four days behind.  If I copy the image link and load it directly by itself from their own server it is up to date.  I remember plenty of talk about images, especially large ones, being a drag on the Susan's site server.  I can certainly see how caching every image rather than allowing them to load live from the originating server directly would eat up bandwidth and storage space quickly.  Is this the case?  If so is there a schedule that the cached images are updated on?  I've never seen a ticker lag before.

Most likely the browser cache on your own computer. To save time and bandwidth, it could be loading repeating parts of the page from the temp internet files.

The server used to be on cloud flare but there were too many problems accessing the forum. There shouldn't be any server side image storage apart from things posted as attachments and avatars.

Thanks for the replies.  I've cleared my browser cache and I know my internet service provider doesn't have a proxy server enabled.  Like I said, the direct link to the ticker loads properly on its own but not when the link code is displaying via the forum server in posts or my profile.  This is the first time I've ever seen this happen.  I'll try a couple other things and see if I can sort it out.

Working now.  Seems to have been a weird issue with my particular (read 'stale') version of Safari.  Whatever it was doing it certainly wasn't clearing the cache when told to.  Full shut down and cold start cleared any remnant memory usage and the problem is gone.  (I already know there's a pretty bad memory leak with this version in combination with the operating system.)  Anyway, I at least understand better how the Susan's server handles things.  Sorry for the trouble.
