Hello ladies,
I've been working on rolling my nails out in the picture below is what I did today to nails, please let me know if I and I'd love to see some other pictures of what other girls out there have done. I don't know. Maybe it's just me but my hands certainly do look a lot more feminine than they did a month ago.

Hugs,

Melissa Ann

This week I've broken 4 nails in 3 days.
I've removed all colour from them for a few days until I go and get gels
Yes! I'm single
And you'll have to be pretty f'ing amazing to change that

I gave up on my weak splitting nails and went and had acrylics put on. I have since caught my nails a few times on a few things and I thought my nails were going to be ripped off or damaged but that did not happen - these things are tough!

Not much to look at right now and I need a re-do because they are growing out (last time I did them was Sunday) and pretty fast too.

I used to be a real nail biter and used to damage my cuticles too. My hands would often be a bloody mess because I just couldn't stop.

Sally Hansen hard as nails works great to deal with the splitting. Mine used to split like crazy.

My nails I could take and use as a screwdriver. They are thick and if I let them grow out, they could be a fairly good weapon. >:-) But I have to keep them short to keep them out of the way bit I still paint them though. Girly hands kind of helps when you have to have short nails so it ain't too bad.

I am cursed I guess, with my dad's thick fingers and thick fingernails. But my mom's has lent some balance.  Sooo I'm sorta in between. I'm hoping HRT will soften it up some. Growing it out has made a big difference though, except that I have to re-learn typing. I type a lot, plus dealing with buttons, knobs, sliders and touch screens is NO fun!

I've been taking biotin supplements for hair growth, and it really affects nails as well.  I have to trim my nails way more often than I used to, and they're a lot stronger than they're ever been.  I definitely recommend it.

I won't post up a picture of my nails. They have about three coats of a really nice Max Factor pale pink iridescent varnish on at the moment but...

And there always seems to be a but...

Next door's daughter started selling Avon products so I decided to try them out as the colours are a bit lush. Unfortunately they marmalised my nails so they are weak, feeble and have been delaminating for about a month now. If anyone can suggest anything that will help I will be massively grateful and could probably be persuaded to send a bottle of (delicious and utterly befuddling) country wine your way. Shipping restrictions considered.

Well that was fun! What's next?

See the blue Strat in my avatar?

My nails are exactly that color.   I have them cut right now just so I can play it.

My toes are always red, fushia, coral or pink. My Fingers always have colorless polish except for doctor appointments. My nails break for any reason so they are always short. I wish that they never would break, then they would be oval shaped.

My nails are always unpolished. Once they get a bit of length, I bite them back down.

Have you tried moisturising them heavy duty style ? Every time I did acrylics and the acetone messed my nails up I used Australian bodycare T tree based moisturiser. For me it worked really well with a quick recovery. When I saw you the other day, I thought that was the first time I have seen you without painted nails. I did wonder why but forgot to ask.

Ooooh, MelissaAnn and DaGirl, those are very cute!

I had to fly to our HQ for a big Company Group Hug thang this week, and since most people were going to meet me as a girl for the first time, I opted for a neutral and understated (that means boring) beige-pink. :D

I have no problem growing my nails quite long, but they do get a bit cumbersome after a while on full-stroke keyboards.  Oh, and I use OPI - mine lasts for weeks if I need it to!

My nails are strong and grow long and sharp. They're like having little knives on the end of each finger. Overall my nails are healthy which is actually good news for my hair as well, as nail health kind of mirrors hair health. If your nails are healthy so is your hair. I take a women's one a day supplement and a good hair, skin, and nails vitamin as well.

As far as polish goes my fingers and toes are always painted. I feel naked without polish on my nails. My toenails right now are a soft purple and my fingernails are a gun metal metallic. Sorry I don't have any photos of my hands. I'll take some and post them later. ;)

Something that has worked pretty well for me is 'Nail Magic', it is an eight week system and can be used underneath your chosen polish.  Oh and nice offer but I dont drink.   ;D  Dani
