So today I have sent in my full surgery amount to Dr Chettawut. And I have done my blood tests and x-ray and just need to send those in next week. I have 1 letter of recommendation and getting my 2nd next week and I will be turning in those too.

So as I read on the forums that, they are quite busy and I won't get a reply about my wire transfer until they get it. I'm just so anxious but yet so excited I am finally getting my surgery done!

I chose the Bangkok Rama Hotel as it is cheaper for me for my stay during recovery. I hope I make some friends to keep me company as I am traveling to Thailand alone.

Is there anything I should know with the whole process of the wire transfers, surgery, or anything before I get to Thailand? The only thing I am nervous about is how things will go when I land in Thailand and after my surgery.

Anyway, any advice will help, or any questions lol. I'm fairly new here. Nice to meet you all :)

When the Surgeon says you can. You will have to be on them the rest of your life. Not the anti androgen, but definitely "E".  :)

I'm a bit anxious and don't know what to expect. I guess I'm just being a pansy right now considering I'll be at a hotel all by myself lol. I'm just really qworried about getting there and after the surgery lol

You will be there alone? You may have a bit of a struggle then. Just be sure you stock enough food and things you need before. After you will not want to go out or shopping. You know you will have to be there a while right?

Well the best you can do is stock up the hotel room so it will limit you being forced to go out for things is the best I can advise on. I do hope you heal quickly and have no problems. let us know how I goes!!!  :)

Chet's team recommend starting hormones E only after your return home. You are supposed to stop all hormones 2 full weeks before surgery. I would suggest slowly dropping your existing hormone program by 1/3 every week.

Try to ensure you have a transgender friendly GP / gynocologist organized for your recovery time at home. There is nothing quite like a professional opinion to soothe anxious nerves if something isn't going as planned.

Hi Jojo,
Rather than writing pages and pages here to answer your different questions, if you are interested I propose you send me a PM and we can set up a call on Skype to discuss all the little things that are worth knowing in advance.
As you will have seen from my thread, I also did the whole thing alone (as do many others) and frankly, it was no problem at all. You just need to do some advance preparation.
Hugs.
Donna

Yes, Donna that would be more convenient since you've had gone through the experience. I have quite a few questions to ask considering that emailing Ms. Som for multiple question that would have come up during the process of obtaining documents as such may take a while to get a response. But I really want this journey to go smoothly and need some questions answered lol. I have sent you information.
