Funny thought about SRS and healing

Made me laugh today... Surgery in general, including SRS, is made possible by the body's ability to heal: you cut it, it grows together again. The more it heals, the better.

However, if the healing - regeneration - was perfect and complete (like salamanders who grow whole new limbs), SRS would not be possible, because a year after surgery, everything would be back to how it was originally  ;D

To sum up: SRS is made possible by the fact that the body's healing is good, but not perfect  ;)

But just imagine the possibilities of being able to cut it all off and then coaxing it (by the tinkering of genetic code or other persuasive means) to 'regenerate' back as a perfectly formed organ of the opposite sex, just as nature intended!

I think the trade between mtf and ftm should be perfected.

Just saying, lots or tissues that go to waste.

Need a accepting gene of transplant tissues found.

It's an interesting thought Apple, I love when I discover one of those things :)

I don't really think that's possible first you would have to find a compatible donor. And from best I can tell the FtM population is far less than the MtF. While that could benefit FtM's because of the greater number of MtF's to find a suitable donor. And seeing that a majority of the trans population isn't all that wealthy that creates another obstacle. Because I imagine the costs associated with such a procedure would be astronomical. Personally me I'm pulling for reincarnation and I hope in my next life this gets put right.

Surely the answer lies in Brain Transplants, If a mtf's female brain could be swapped with an ftm's male one then we'd have 2 happy campers  :) It may sound drastic but that's one surgery instead of many so reduced costs and less surgical risks.

Just a thought

Unfortunately our bodies and our brains are not really separate entities, our entire neural system works as one so unless you could transplant every neural cell including eyes it's virtually impossible. It would be way easier to grow new parts with stem cells and then transplant them, but then that does not change your body structure :(
