It's just after midnight here in the US central time and it's now officially my birthday. I got my hormones last weekend and have been waiting until now to take them.

I just took my first dose. Here's how yesterday went:

Tomorrow is a special day for me. Not only is it my birthday but I'll start hormone replacement therapy which will make it my rebirthday...

But the special part really started today. Today I've been on a gentle life review...been very contemplative and emotional all day and finally appreciated the fact that for the past few years...I cry all the time as I fully connect to my emotions...not just out of sadness but because my consciousness is truly female and I feel deeply...wonderfully.

I've been seeing things like how much I've blamed myself for things I've done out of "childhood trauma induced perfectionism" and finally realized that I'm human...and did the best I could with the tools I had at the time.

And I'm finally, able to have deep compassion for myself and others such as I've never had simply because I've endured "so" much...and have finally gotten to this point.

I'll be crying myself to sleep tonight...and I'm sure I'll wake up crying if for no other reason than experiencing the beauty of having found my true self...

Now that I've taken my first dose of HRT...I can cry myself to sleep...

Congratulations Kaylee, and Happy re-Birthday as you put it, I like that, it's cute. And it sounds like you've done a lot of soul searching which is always good I think. It's often not an easy journey to get to where we are, but I wouldn't change it for the world.

So Happy Birthday Kaylee, today sounds like it might be the first day of the rest of your life. It's a wonderful journey to be on, so welcome.

Happy B-day, Kaylee!

It feels wonderful, doesn't it? I fretted a lot before starting and felt the same way I did jumping off the high dive at the neighborhood pool when I was 10!

This is a very exciting time as I to just started my HRT just a few days ago my new re-birthday is as of 1 October, so maybe we can hold hands as we take this path together a very much. Love the insight you have fun yourself keep strong for all the hills and valleys that we are going to face.
