i have to attend a christening in a couple of weeks and unsure what to wear.

I'm a 30 year old mtf on hormones. I'm kinda full time, I do usually wear make up and casual women's jeans/tops daily. I pass pretty well.. Thing is I'm not yet wearing skirts or dresses only cos it's scary. All my clothes are casual and I have no idea what to wear to this christening?? I tried on a old suit and I look ridiculous!! My hormones have made me more female than male.

I'd appreciate some cool ideas/pictures for something nice but no dresses or skirts pls.. Not going there yet.

I've seen many christenings with nothing more than almost business casual type clothing. Try a career closet type place where they will get you a couple of outfits for free, tell them you are job hunting.

Can't go wrong with a pair of black fitted pants, and a nice collared button up shirt, both from the womens section of course. The bonus with this is if you can find a matching jacket you have yourself a job interview outfit. Suggestion on the colour of the of the top. Pending on if there is a party afterwards and where, if it's somewhere like a restaurant or function center, don't pick white.  You're going as a guest, you're not a member of the staff

No crystal ball needed for this one My Lord. I have my sister's wedding to attend in November, and this is exactly what I'll be wearing :P

Ok back on track, Jenna that is my opinion and you will probably find this outfit the safest option if you're not ready for a dress or skirt yet. Whatever you decide good luck, have fun shopping for what you need and most importantly of all. Enjoy the christening.

Thanks for your replies, I took your advice and also got some help from the ladies at the store today. Bought myself a beautiful sheer orange blouse, black jacket and some skinny black jeans. Just ordered some ankle boots online too to complete the look. Such a weight of my shoulders that its sorted now. Phew!.

Thanks again. X
