Ms Grace

Some media outlets are reporting this responsibly, others like the godforsaken Courier Mail (a Murdoch publication) shamefully referred to the victim in a huge front page headline as a "high class she-male sex worker" - the fact she was trans or a former sex worker had nothing to do with her husband murdering her, so why even report it let alone in the most lurid way possible??

As sad as it sounds, don't worry about it Grace. The Courier hasn't been profitable for 5 years and its circulating under 8000 copies a day. These people are desperate and are already emotionally bankrupt. News Ltd in Australia does not make money out of anything other than foxtel The Australian has not been profitable for a decade and posts losses of $50+ million, once that fascist old monster dies I find it hard to believe any sane CEO would let them keep going.

Murdoch is just an ideologue, trying to extend his mouthpiece with offensive and disgusting sensationalist headlines, a scheme which by the looks of it failed miserably (the She*m*le courier sold less than the edition before it).

Let him dig his own grave, he doesn't need our help to burn in hell, so why not let him fail first?
(Sorry, if this is too anything, I truly despise this evil windbag and am trying to control myself)

This is awful. It really makes me question my faith when I read about atrocities like this.

As luck would have it I'm taking my break with a few other trans*activists, so far we have succeeded in four reports to the press council, contacted ABC media watch and lodged official complaints with the Courier. Not happy about this story and how it has been presented.

Seconded - if it goes on Media Watch I wonder if The "Australian" will launch into its usual "huh, they're so biased, that terrible ABC!" afterwards?

The internet comments I've read actually defending the murder based on the "trans panic" defense is enough to make me lose all faith in humanity.

Was that even what happened or is that just the assumption idiots are making?

I don't know but given the murderer was her husband/partner I would think he must have known. It's not like she was some random date, they'd been together a while as I understand. But I suppose there was always a chance he didn't know, found out and flipped - it's no justification for him to do what he did regardless.

Given that when she was when advertising herself as a sex worker, referred to herself as 'pre-op', I doubt he wouldn't of known. I honestly don't know why the Gay panic defence is even still legal. Its not fair on us, because even flirting with a maniac counts under it. I don't think monsters need protection from 'homosexual advances' if anything it should be seen as a hate crime, and the offender be sentenced to life without parole. Its just not fair, we are people too and yet we can legally be killed for nothing more than a wink at a bar. It sickens me, and I sincerely  hate that such a perversion of justice is part of any legal system, let alone Australias/Queensland's.
