Those of you on hormones, did your head hair change texture after you started HRT?

My hair is extremely thick, but the strands themselves are fine, making my hair as a whole barely manageable. I'm female-bodied, and I wondered I should expect testosterone to make my hair strands coarser, should I ever start taking it.

From what I understand, your hair might get a bit courser, but if your hair is already frizzy, I suspect that it won't make a huge difference.  And hon-do you deep condition?  Because you should probably be deep conditioning.
My gender problem isn't half as bad as society's.  Although mine is still pretty bad.

When I started HRT,  in the other direction, the biggest real change I noticed is that my hair became much drier. I would imagine, that the reverse would be true then for you, your hair would get more oily. It might sound bad, but the drier hair is the more it tangles, so tbh our hair would probably be more manageable I would imagine after T. I have taken to using a leave in conditioner which solves the moisture issue pretty well.

@Androgynouspainter26: Is it wrong that I just want to touch your hair? It looks soooooo lovely!

Hikari-my hair is wet in this picture!  It's a lot pouffier in real life.  If only it could look like it does wet all the time-I'd be victorious in life and love.

Deep conditioning though-it helps anyone with friz regaurdless of how much your scalp products oil. You just might need a bit less of it :)

Same here, a lot less oilier. Prior to HRT, I "had" to wash my hair every day, otherwise it was a grease ball. Now 10 months on HRT, I can go 4-5 days without having to wash my hair (even longer with dry shampoo.)

Hikari hon-thank you, but I'd kill for plain old straight hair.  I've been told by more than one person that I'd pass if I grew my hair out.  Unfortunately, it doesn't grow out, it grows UP.  So-yeah, it looks nice.  But doesn't do my bone structure any favors-I'd kill for pretty long hair like yours.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. My hair isn't frizzy, though. Just very thick (as in, there is a ton of it). When it was long, I couldn't put it up, and it mostly ignores styling products. It has a will of its own.

My hair is fine strands but I have a lot of it and it grows fast. After testosterone (2.5 years abouts) it's still fine, thick and gets blown around like it always did. I have the kind if hair thats plentiful but theres so much i have to use pretty strong japanese products to do anything with it. The texture hasn't changed and if it has I haven't noticed. My body hair is thicker but that's it.

Yep. That's basically my hair. What products do you use?
