Hi people.

I am part of a team which are doing a petition and a demonstration and I would like you all to sign on the petition I linked below.

So what is this petition all about?
it kinda simple yet very difficult but I will try to make it simple.

The authorities of the healthcare here in my country are planning to make a guide on how to threat transgender, which will be the new law for next month. So far there haven't been any laws for transgender people and every law have been based on other laws depending on the context.

anyway, in the guide its clear that there will only be 1 place in the whole country will will have permission to deal with transgender patience for anything which involding transition and all other doctors who deal with these things will be shut down, that infact include my doctor as well. Transgenders are to go to therapy sections to make sure that they are "real transgender" for at least 1 year or more. Since there is only one place in the country the waiting period can be very long and if you are rejected there are no where ells to go.

a few thing wrong with this is

1) people which are already on homones and have to wait for a long period (a year or more) to get permission to may/may not continue, can get serious health problems.

2) people who are/are not on homones can get mentally problems by the long waiting period and no guarenty of help

3) people are often forced to fill up standard on whats expected on them being "trans enough" to get homones insteed of just being themself.

4) people who are denied help for the system due to whatever it may be, are forced to either leave the country for threatment or seek homones in illigal and most likely unhealthy ways.

We find this law to be insane, insteed we will ask the goverment to make it legal to be trans*, and legal for not just 1 place to deal with us but in general having more doctors who can give us threatment as long as they are educated in there profesions and as long as we have concented and are informed on what we are going into.

or to say it more simply. if this law is passed, most transgender people in denmark are screwed.
and there's a danger of norwegian health authorities following the danish trend, making things equally horrible here.
it's bad enough as it is in norway, with over half of those seeking treatment through the one and only gid clinic being rejected, and most of the ones getting in having to lie to get treated.
if the few doctors who are willing to help get forbidden from helping, i really don't know what will happen.
here or in denmark.

governments trying to control their population by driving unwanted citizens to suicide.
that's what i see this law as.
unless you conform 150%, you're unwanted.
any doctor being nice enough to helo you, try to stop you from dying, will lose his license if found out.
might even go to jail just for giving hormone treatment to someone who'd commit suicide without it.
even when the national gid clinic will do nothing to help that person.

gid is still seen as a mental illness too.
ridiculous.
