How Long Will a Transgender Woman Have Breast Buds in general?

This is a curiosity thing for me.

I'd love to know that answer myself. Heck, I forget what breast buds are sadly. Refresh a girl's memory please? 

The buds start under the nipple and in time "open up" in the areola. I am almost 17 months and the buds are large and get rather sore during the 1st half of my injection cycle. How long they remain I do not know.

I'm curious too. I'm going on 1 year hrt. My breasts have been sore as they develop. I'm seeing my endo again soon and I want my right breast examined because it has a large mass in the back center. I'm assuming it's all part of the breast bud formation but my left breast is developing without the mass. Consequently, my right areola is more puffy than the left. I've seen some pictures where breasts tend to fill out more after about a year and then continue to develop for another year or two.

I'm also curious about the relationship between the quantity of hormones taken and the final beast size. Will tapering up create smaller breasts than starting immediately with high doses (i.e. once growth begins is it restricted to a window of time?) or will low doses eventually give the same result after taking extra time?

My breasts have EXPLODED in the 2.5 half weeks and WOW it seems so FAST... My breast buds just got larger.

Our puberty more or less mirrors a cis girl's; how long you have breast buds depends on how long your breasts stay in that particular phase. I know girls who did for 2+ years without seeing much other growth, whereas my breast buds softened and blended into the surrounding breast tissue around the end of the first year.

As for how long it takes, everything I've seen suggest  that it's the same as a teenage cis girl there too : some develop practically overnight, some can take up to 10 years, but in the end you get what you get. (I started on a very, very low dose and still had immediate, fast growth. I was a 42C by four months in. However, it looks as though my breasts are also almost done growing at nearly 5 years on HRT, while other women continue for several years more.) There's no indication that any amount of estrogen past what the body needs does much of anything except be excreted back out.

My experience with my breast growth has been very gradual. I'm in the later stages of development since now both breasts have the 2nd breast bud, mound on mound.

MY breast buds are massive, they feel like they are at least 2 inch diameter.

Ginger, that *is* large... As Spicy is having done, you might want to have a doctor check that out, just in case. I think typical size is more like a half inch or so. It's probably normal, but to be on the safe side.

Ok I will do so. I should be seeing my Endo within the next few weeks.
