This morning I went to the doctors and told him that I wanted to be female and have felt that way for as long as I could remember after I said it I took a long breath and in a shaky voice I need to get a gender physiatrist. This being the first time I have ever spoke of this to anyone outside my family it grated on my nerve ends I was shaking and covered in goose bumps . After going into it a little more he agreed and will be making a referal I am over the moon the ball is rolling but I have no idea how long it will take to hear anything I am I the uk we will see

Congrats on this huge step in your life. I remember my first therapy day as well. From what I hear on this forum though the NHS is notoriously slow. Just have patience!  :)

Well done, Crissie!  It's amazing how much courage it can take to admit to yourself or someone else that you're trans.  But you gotta do it.  And it makes such a huge difference when, step by step, you get to where you want to be in life.  You have to be yourself.  You can't be happy otherwise.

I'm in the UK too and having an appointment with my GP in the next few weeks hopefully. I hope I have as good a session as you and get referred straight away.

Hugs,
