I was wondering if anyone here was successful getting SSI for having GID (they're using DSM 4 with my forms)
I was denied once and soon I will have a hearing with an attorney.  I know that they don't consider GID as a 'disability' but it was actually the major root of all my problems (both mental and physical)  The thing is , I have no intention of telling anything relating to my gender disorder whatsoever BUT at the same time I am afraid this will cause an issue because they're probably going to check my ID  (that says male ) and all the documents that SSA has and I am going to be humiliated more than ever.  I was just looking for this specific question online as well and I read that it's best if I didn't mention the GID in the first place, which I agree with... 

Anyone who has experience with this could you share please?

Unless it causes severe depression, anxiety or some other issue, they will not approve you for SSI based on Gender Dysphoria alone. I learned that during my own case. Mine was approved because of injuries and they did not even put Gender Dysphoria on the application as it would not have helped any at all. Sorry.

Yes I actually do suffer from major depressive disorder like never before.  My mentality is at its worst right now and I literally have no intention of living to tell the truth. I mean I can't do anything even AT HOME (where I should at least be comfortable alone) but that's not the case.

While my problems are far from gender dysphoria alone I still don't want it to be known but I am just afraid of them searching it like from the LGBT health clinic that I go to..

Sweetie you simply can't have both. To get proper treatment you are going to have to admit the problem. Otherwise you will get nowhere except deeper and deeper into depression. Basically at some point you will have to tell someone or it will eat you alive, I promise. There is absolutely nothing to be ashamed or feel guilty about being transgendered. When you see that life will get better for you.
