I have been reading this site for a long time but never felt like I had anything to contribute until now.  About 2 weeks ago I had a phone consultation with Dr. Rumer in Pennsylvania and I really seemed to like her and her personality.  So I scheduled my surgery for July 7th.  I am so excited but also nervous I know the range of emotions will swell the closer it gets.  I am also looking for people with personal experience with her to comment and let me know what to expect I am going to be staying in her recovery center so any information on that would be helpful too.  Thanks in advance Sarah

Welcome to Susan's family
There are a few here that should have information to help. suzifrommd was a patient of Dr. Rumer.
In the meantime pull up a chair and give a look over the following links for the site info...

Hello Sarah,

Personally I wasn't nervous. I didn't allow myself to be, because it doesn't help. When I heard my date, I didn't even gave it a second thought. I thought: Okay, nice. And went on with my days, weeks, months. Up to the day of the surgery I wasn't nervous. When I stepped unto the surgeons table I was really calm and had a big grin on my face  ;D just relax, the surgery is something you won't experience. It starts after that. And then you will have enough time to be nervous. I would save it for after surgery.  ;)
