...the worst thing that happens at work has zero to do with being trans. Today four colleagues (one of them a great friend of 15+ years) were told they'd lost their job. As Union rep I was present for the entire process.

That sucks big time, layoffs are about the worst thing there is. Hope you're managing it!

As for a more positive note,

When you meet an old friend at a bar/club who walks past you after you both have briefly glanced each other, then she walks back a couple of steps to you and tells you that you look like a woman. Easiest coming out of the closet ever 

When I get asked how many months preggo I am by random people and if I know if it's a boy or girl yet (this is when I over eat and have a large round tummy...a food baby lol).

OR

When at the hospital both the triage nurse and doctor (both women) ask me when my last period was. Like, for reals?? Lol
But yeah my health card still has an M on it where the sex designation is cause I haven't changed it yet. So it amazes me when they ask me those questions lol

Your gender therapist tells you he sees no need for you to see him or any other gender specialist, as there are clearly no longer any issues.

Women who know i'm trans are now discussing intimate care situations with me, as if I know anything about that  I've simply learned to be an empathetic listener when a discussion like that crops up and I try to ask intelligent questions to help me learn and understand their experience.

When your at work in boy costume, wearing a boxy unisex uniform and you take a couple caffeine pills and your co-worker askes if those are your "magic lady pills". Then you stare at them and ask "my what!?" and they say "well just look at your feminine face and body shape compared to last year when we worked together". My response was "I didn't know it was so obvious. But no these are not my hormones replacement pills, there caffeine pills. lol".  This was with a good five year co-worker friend of mine I haven't seen in over a year when I was still a depressed anti-social fatty. None the less I was secretly flattered.

Even though it's being roumored around that Im taking estrogen or that I'm a crossdressor or that I go around the trailer parks during the night. I don't mind all the exaggerations because I know who started them and I get to enjoy making their day harder on a weekly basis. (Karma) 

When other women about my age who are total strangers engage me in idle Chit-Chat while waiting in lines (queues outside the US)

When you LOVE the woman you've become.

my whole company went down. 7,ooo lost their jobs. sh$$ happens. on the brighter side, a manager at a restaurant keeps staring at me in the most curious of ways. He's cute too

...when you've gone through a whole day, week or even month not even thinking about being trans.

...when people think it's a joke that you used to be anything other than female.

...when people, even when aware of you being trans, are astonished at you being able to "put on" a deep sounding voice because they wouldn't expect it to come from you!

You're happy and have no idea why.

When people don't believe you that you used to be born a different gender once they found out your past.
