I am new on here and wish to say 'Hello' to all the members on this forum.

I am based in the UK.

In February 2004, I had FFS with Dr Zukowski and had a serious complication (Long story)

I also had rhinoplasty at the same time and have never been happy with the result.

In addition to shortening my nose, he also performed an alarpasty and was left with a raised vertical crease below my right alars.

Kenalog (steroid) injections by him have not hepled and in fact could have made the situation worse because it can also affect the tissues surrounding the scar.

I had one session of scar needling done last year at the Chicago Permanent Cosmetic Center but to travel there for a few sessions from the UK is not economically viable. The scars around my nose were slightly improved.

Three weeks ago, I underwent revision to the FFS related forehead bony deformity with one of the world's top craniofacial surgeons, a Mr Simon Eccles at London's Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. He did a fantastic job and the bony deformity along with other issues have been fixed, thank God.

Mr Eccles put some fat round the scar which has helped but will probably need further top ups.

He also mentioned using Restylane but that requires topping up every 6 months too at £250.00 a time !!!!

The scar I believe is called a sub-dermal lesion and needling is supposed to help by flattening the scar.

Does anybody know of a good practitioner in needling or micro-needling around London and the Home Counties.

I cannot yet help with the "needling" problem, but would be interested in what ever feed back you get about it. As regards to having your forehead sorted out, could I ask, did you manage to get in performed on the NHS, or was it "private" If it wasn't on the NHS, was the surgery expensive? I too live in S/E England, near London, so I will try to find out whatever I can about your needling question. If I have any luck I will let you know.

My GP referred me to the Chelsea & Westminster last year as the bony deformity was causing me quite a lot of pain and it was continually growing. So I was entitled to have surgery under the NHS.

I don't know how much in total the surgery cost but it could not have been cheap and I was in hospital for three nights.
