Hey everyone! I've been on T for 5 months now. I spend $15 per 1ml vial. Something with my insurance had only allowed me to pick up one of these vials every two weeks to do my shot. But I'm wondering if I could be saving more money?? Do those goodrx.com discounts work with insurance too? Thanks everyone!

You should probably just stick with your insurance. It doesn't work with insurance, or so I believe. But that's how much you'd be paying with goodrx alone, pretty much.

The cheapest for a 1ml vile is at Walgreens with a 14.95 ish cost. so just stick with your insurance plan.

Why the 1ml vials?
I get a 10ml vial for under $50 with goodrx at CVS.

Don't know why, something with my insurance. Do you use insurance? If not I might just pay out of pocket for a 10ml vial with the discount because thats insanely cheaper. 10ml would last 4-5 months. Right now I pay like $150 with insurance for the same amount of time. Which is kinda bs.

A place like CVS should be able to run your insurance before purchase and tell you how much it costs. Take your goodrx coupon and pick the one that's cheaper.

Omg I'm so flipping happy right now. I think the issue before was mainly with the pharmacy. They only carried 1ml vials and my insurance would only let me pick up one at a time, $15 each. I just went to the rite aid where I just moved back to in Utah and they ordered the 10ml vial that my NP called in. So I got that for $45. Basically like getting 7ml free based on what I was paying before!! And now I don't have to pick up another script until maybe March! Stoked!!

Kamtheman,
that's fantastic news. I am so happy for you. Now I'm no expert here, but my understanding is discount cards do not work with insurance, but judging by what you just posted it really doesn't matter now, does it. I wish you nothing but the best of luck on your journey and may the Angels be looking upon you and help guide you on your path.

Hugs,

Melissa Ann
