So I had surgery with Dr. Scott Mosser in San Francisco, and I'm quite pleased with my results. The surgery was sixteen days ago. Immediately after surgery, I felt fantastic with little to no pain. All of my follow-ups revealed I was healing exceptionally well. The chest area was relatively numb for the first week.
I've tried to take it easy, and I have mostly remembered not to put my arms above my head. I'm not making motions that cause pain or pulling. Oddly, I started experiencing pain about a week ago. The pain varies in type, location, intensity, and sensation. It seems like this is probably the nerves connecting and repairing. Does that make sense? None of the pain was alarming or severe. Does anyone know if that's possible?
My bigger concern is pain I am having today. Yesterday, two things happened. First, I accidentally rolled onto my chest, causing a deep, sharp pain in the upper left pectoral region. Secondly, I went out for drinks and ended up hooking up, and because I had a buzz and was completely wrapped up in the excitement of sexy time, I did things that I probably shouldn't have physically. For example, I was on my hands holding myself up, And I moved less gingerly.
Today, I've got intermittent but fairly regular pains in that upper left pectoral muscle region. It seems o be exacerbated by too much motion of that arm, but I'm not sure.
Could I have damaged something? Should I be worried? Do I need to panic? What should I do? Take it easy, move less? I'm still wearing the surgical vest 24/7 for another week.
