Does anyone have any tips and tricks on how to make big hands and feet stand out less?

Once I get my weight back down, I should look fairly passable in most places, but unfortunately I have shovel sized hands and wear average size canoes on my feet, which could cause problems when I start my transition in earnest.
Can anyone give advice on what would be the best clothes and shoes to wear so as not to draw attention to them?
I can get shoes to fit ok (UK size 11), but its choosing ones that wont look like water skis on me.
I'm not really fashion conscious at all. I just want to blend in.
...oh, and I cant wear high heels. I tried before and ended up in casualty. :embarrassed:

Has anyone got any good ideas?

Shoes are finicky, I can't quite figure out a consistent rule with them. Some look huge on me, and some make my feet like tiny (and I'm a US 11).

A larger opening (showing more skin) sometimes make my foot look bigger. But then again, I just bought some really cute ballet-type shoes that look really good.

Shoes with a low, flat opening look bad on me (like moccasins). Shoes where the opening is higher and curves upwards towards the back look much better. That might be the difference, actually.

Heels help too. I guess they slant your foot, so it's not as parallel to the ground, making it look smaller.

In other words, the more uncomfortable the shoe, the better it'll look, lol...

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do with hand or feet surgically to make them smaller. I am a US11 and love heels but being 6' I try to not wear heels all the time. I find that flat shoes make my feet look longer so I try to at least have a little heel.

Wearing trousers that go down to below the anchles and a not too narrow also make the feet look smaller. DON'T EVER wear shoes that draw attention, like orange pumps (geez I miss the 80's :)). If you have a wide foot you need to take that into consideration too when buying shoes.

I think it's not always the size of the foot but the way it is presented. If you foot looks feminine it doesn't draw that much attention to itself.

There are also behavioural matters to consider. For example, don't sit with your legs crossed with one foot way in the air... it's like saying "hey everyone, look at my foot".

With the hands, the only real thing you can do is grow your finger nails as long as you can feel comfortable working with. Chose nail polish colours carefully so you don't draw attention to them. Don't go overboard with rings. If you wear a watch, don't let it hand around your wrist, I prefer to wear mine 1-2" up from my wrist. Like in this picture http://www.sz-wholesale.com/P/Bangle-Watch/Wrist-watch-1232.html, I'd rather wear my watch where the pink watch is than where the dark blue one is. Keep your watch discrete.

Anyway... just a few thoughts from me :)

With hands-  find some dainty jewelry (if you like to wear it)  not TOO small, but not too big either... look for feminine but not gaudy...  In folks I've seen it seems to minimize hand size some...

With feet?  not really sure, I don't notice peoples feet much lol..  But truthfully? that might be the key - I really don't look at peoples feet or shoes, I'd bet most people don't... So don't sweat it :)

I thought the length of my nails in this picture worked to make them appear smaller

as for my toes a color polish makes them smaller sometimes ( or they look like Frankensteins feet):
