Im so confused. I have saved 500 dollars from my job and idk how to go abt getting hormones. There are a few ways but idk if theres any easier way without a car. I also dont have insurance and dont know if thatwill hinder me at all. Me and my dad have talked abt me transitioning for a while and i asked abt starting hormones and he aaid to wai until he gets home to talk abt it (hes out of town). Im also unsure. If i should start college yet :/ because the bus system to get there and to work is unreliable.

I would say do what you have to and continue your education. Transition can be very expensive with the numerous surgeries available. Educate yourself and start a career which will give you a good life where you will have to depend on no one. Have you seen a Therapist at all?  :)

I dont wanna see a therapist cause i see it as a waste of money. There is a clinic in Houston that will prescribe hormones without therapist approval. I just have to attend a group therapy meeting.

Second what jess said, I've spent more than $2000 on transition related expenses in the last 6 months, and as a uni student that is a huge amount of money
I am the self proclaimed Queen of procrastination

You probably should focus on getting an education and decent paying job first, then the transition. But, if you simply must transition, perhaps there are support groups near where you live (like Ingersoll here in Seattle) that might be able to direct you to free (or low cost) hormone sources?
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...
