BUT

I'm okay with it. If she didn't do it, I would have done it soon anyways. I'm going to be starting a new phase of my life and I just don't see her as a part of it. She was a sweet girl, but I wasn't comfortable talking to her about my problems or my gender identity confusions. I think I'm going to stay single for a while. At least until I figure things out :)

Sorry to hear that, but glad you're not too upset about it. I've decided I'm not going to think about dating anyone until I've been on T for a good while. I think it'll be better for me in the long run, even if it is a little lonely in the mean time.

Being single is way less complicated than being in a relationship. Separating was probably for the best in the long run (especially if you couldn't talk to her openly about your problems. Big red flag right there.)

Sounds like you (and her) made a good choice.

Best wishes!
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

Yeah. I'm not entirely sure where I stand gender wise, but until I figure myself out it's probably best I either have someone who I'm comfortable with, or no one. Seeing as the only people I'm comfortable with aren't real dating options, guess that leaves me with no one lol

I do miss my alone time. I haven't been able to spend a night to myself, between studying and seeing her. I barely have seen my friends in the past couple of months :/

See there, things are lookin up even more now. Nothin' better than alone time. But you also gotta to talk to your friends again if it's been that long since you've seen em. A couple of months is a loong time.

I see them now and then, but I'm always swamped with school work or I've had to be hanging with her because I'd have to spend all the rest of my time studying. I guess now I can spend my spare time self improving :)

though there are a couple people i know that i like or think are attractive, i am in a similar boat.  being in a relationship prior to transitioning, would make making the decision to transition, and going through the transition alot more difficult than it already is.  unless e` is the kind of person that is in support of the transition, and knows what your going through from the beginning of the relationship.  but nope.   no relationships anytime in the foreseeable future.

alot more spare time to work on yourself.

While I know she was the kind of person who wouldn't mind, as she has dated a trans guy before, she just wasn't the girl for me. She's the sweetest thing but I'm 22 and she's 26 and we're both at different points in our lives right now. So I didn't ever really bother telling her about my confusions or dysphoria. But yes, lots more time for self improvement! (And maybe get those Bs up to As in college? Haha)

Yeah, I'd say 22 and 26 are different points in life...Like, you're still in college and she probably has been out of college for a few years...I think it was for the best that you guys split
Lyrics for a song I wrote

This ain't a scam
It's who I am
I am a man inside
This ain't a dream
Stop being mean
And just accept it.
I am ready to shine!
Ready to fight for that dream of mine
I am a man inside

Good luck one the self-improvement! Always a good thing.

As an educator by trade, I have to say it... Get those marks up!  ::)

Seriously though, glad you're not upset by the breakup and I hope you get to have peoplewho you CAN talk to about this stuff.

Yeah, she has a big girl job while I'm just starting at college again. (I spent 3 years in university until now)

We're still going to be friends :) I actually told her about my gender identity confusions today too. She was totally cool with it :)

I do :) I have a couple of close friends who help me through this and all my anxieties.

I am sorry about the breakup.

I think you are handling it very well and telling her you are questioning your gender is a big step, hugs.

Thanks :) It was a mutual break up so it's all good! It just wasn't going to work. But who knows, maybe we can become good friends
