One Day At A Time - Lena Martell

Kinda apt, lol.

I'm only human, I'm just a woman.
Help me believe in what I could be
And all that I am.
Show me the stairway, I have to climb.
Lord for my sake, teach me to take
One day at a time.

Chorus:
One day at a time sweet Jesus
That's all I'm asking from you.
Just give me the strength
To do everyday what I have to do.
Yesterday's gone sweet Jesus
And tomorrow may never be mine.
Lord help me today, show me the way
One day at a time.

Do you remember, when you walked among men?
Well Jesus you know if you're looking below
It's worse now, than then.
Cheating and stealing, violence and crime
So for my sake, teach me to take
One day at a time.

Walk Like An Egyptian - The Bangles

:P

Eternal Flame by The Bangles is probably my all time favourite song. I remember Walk Like An Egyptian though, I couldn't help dancing to it every time I heard it, lol.

Awww, you must have been so adorable. :)

I don't remember Eternal Flame off the top of my head. I'll have to listen to it when I'm on better internet.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

Aus: I got you - Split Enz
UK: Theme from M*A*S*H
Can: Call Me - Blondie
US: Funky Town - Lipps inc

I will still watch M*A*S*H repeats when I can (and occasionally sing the chorus badly :P to the tune). The other three I listen to and have in my cd collection.  Sometimes I feel like I'm stuck in the 80's

Mike and the Mechanics - The Living Years

Every generation
Blames the one before
And all of their frustrations
Come beating on your door

I know that I'm a prisoner
To all my father held so dear
I know that I'm a hostage
To all his hopes and fears
I just wish I could have told him in the living years

Crumpled bits of paper
Filled with imperfect thought
Stilted conversations
I'm afraid that's all we've got

You say you just don't see it
He says it's perfect sense
You just can't get agreement in this present tense
We all talk a different language, talking in defense

Say it loud, say it clear
You can listen as well as you hear
It's too late when we die
To admit we don't see eye to eye

So we open up a quarrel
Between the present and the past
We only sacrifice the future
It's the bitterness that lasts

So don't yield to the fortunes
You sometimes see as fate
It may have a new perspective on a different day
And if you don't give up, and don't give in, you may just be okay

Say it loud, say it clear
You can listen as well as you hear
It's too late when we die
To admit we don't see eye to eye

I wasn't there that morning
When my Father passed away
I didn't get to tell him
All the things I had to say

I think I caught his spirit
Later that same year
I'm sure I heard his echo
In my baby's new born tears
I just wish I could have told him in the living years

Say it loud, say it clear
You can listen as well as you hear
It's too late when we die
To admit we don't see eye to eye
