K so I'm 4months on T  and I haven't had my period since I started T. Well last night out of nowhere I got my period. What is going on ??? I am besides myself right now, I am freaking out! I have my first endo appointment since starting T on Tuesday so I am def gonna bring it up then. I've been in the same bi-weekly dose (which I believe is the low end of normal) since the start....does my dose need to be raised??? I just feel so angry about this!!!Are my changes going to stop happening??? I mean if the T can't even stop my period what else is gonna go wrong ?? I feel like I ve been making progress and this just shattered everything I'm trying to work towards! I mean is the T not working anymore !!??
If anyone can help me out, and you want to know my dosage or whatever just PM me...since I can't post that info publicly.

I'm sure you are fine, a little breakthrough bleeding is normal, especially if you've done very rigorous activities, had sex, or masturbated before it occurred.  Your changes aren't going to stop happening, the T is still working.  There are other possible causes for you to start bleeding than "the t not working anymore".

I think the best advice is to do what you said and talk to your doctor about it. This is a strange situation but I don't think that your changes are going to stop. Sometimes it takes a lot more than 4 months before they stop coming (or so I've been told) so I definitely wouldn't draw that conclusion from it. As for your dosages, once again that is something you should discuss with your doctor Tuesday. Sorry if this isn't much help to you but try not to worry! I'm sure you're doctor will give you some peace of mind but there isn't much to do until then!

I don't think it's something you need to worry about unless the bleeding is heavy, you feel intense pain, or the bleeding lasts for much longer than the average period. It may still be awhile longer before your periods stop completely.

It's not coming on heavy thus far, so ive calmed down a bit. If I'd been getting my period regularly or even irregularly over these 4 months of HRT I'd wouldn't be so upset by this....it's just that I figured I was done with this period bs so having it start up on me was shocking, like getting winded. >:( I just really hope nothing is wrong with me.

4 months isn't that long.  I know of plenty of people who have had odd days of it happening again.  Even some people who have had issues years down the line due to their estrogen also being high.  Get your levels tested, but don't worry about it.  Your changes won't stop or slow down because of it.

morganFW,  I know how you must feel not having any bleeding down there for 4 months and then last night seeing it.  You felt like it had stopped forever. Talk with your dr on Tuesday, maybe you do need a higher dosage, we are all different,  I know you though you would never need those supplies ever again, better keep some available for awhile.  Good luck to you.

Stress alone can alter things. It is worth talking to your doctor about though.

Hey, The last two months I've first had a light period coming through again and this month two days of spotting right before T-shot-day. I've been on T since June. I've talked about to my GP and she said she doesn't think it's a problem. She said we do still make the other hormones (sadly) and that means that something like this could happen.

She also mentioned stress, and for me that's probably right because the past 2 month I've been back at school and it's getting more and more stressfull. She did tell me to mention it to my endo at the next appointment which is next month, because he knows a little more about the subject.

I totally freaked out last month too :( I know how you feel! Hang in there.

Hey thanks guys:) I talked to my endo and she didn't seem too concerned. Apparently it can take up 6 months or more to stop completely. I am going to get my levels checked on Saturday tho, my last bloodwork had my levels where they ought to be but since my body maybe getting used to the hormone I may need my dosage raised just slightly.
