I have done a brief look around the 'Net and have not seen too much on this particular surgeon.  Although I prefer not to go so far, the recent dramatic increases with most of the other surgeons have required that I rethink my choice of surgeon.

Yes, I already read about the drama on the feedback here at Susan's.  I have plenty of skin for him to work with and the recent results posted to Ann Lawrences site, I believe, looked pretty good.  My main issues are:  sensitivity, orgasms, lubrication, and appearance.  Depth is not so much of an issue.

thanks in advance for any and all pointers/feedback.

I know of several girls now who have had bad results with him and would recommend against anyone going anywhere near him there are better DR's out there than him and are cheeper than him .... this is my opinion. Other Dr's are Dr Greechart and Dr Prichet are by far better Dr's.

 ???

After doing a little on-line surfing, I too am seeing tons of surgeons I have never heard of before?  Anyone ever heard of Bhumsak, or Saran, or a lot of stuff on Indigo Wiki?

How many are there for Petra's sake, and how many are reputable?  That's a long way to go, and a lot of money to spend only to be butchered?!  The US medical system is a joke!

It's obvious to anyone with even half a brain that US surgeons are ridiculously overpriced, especially if you know anyone that has had work done overseas that is as good as or better than what they charge here for less than half the price. Why the hell would anyone spend better than 10K in the states when they can have a tropical vacation, buy an entire wardrobe, eat at incredible restaurants, and stay at upscale hotels for a month or more at less than the cost of surgery stateside?  That is just crazy!

I'll bet if more folx started boycotting Meltzer, et al and headed overseas that they would lower their rates here?

If not, screw 'em.  That's capitalism!  Thrive or perish!

Stand back, I feel a storm brewing!

US surgeons=over rated, over priced and over bearing.

One Dr. Alter is 3 of almost any Thai surgeons.  The same with Dr. Toby.  Sure they are good but that good?  NOT in my opinion.  I do not think that there is any DR. in the US or CA that is not at least double the price.

My total cost, Dr, hospital, plane fare, food, hotels, everything for a month was 7K.

The care was superior to any I have received here, the people were a damn sight nicer and its like Thundra said, an awesome place to visit.

The flip side could be that they might decide to start raising prices but still remain low enough that they are not pricing themselves out of the market.  I mean after all the % who go on to surgery is almost 0.

I did not want this to be a bashing thread.  Debbee, could you provide more info?  When did they have surgery?  What went wrong?  What went right?  Other issues?

As for other surgeons, they increase their price and still more and more seek them out.  Although I can reclaim most of the $$$ when I file my taxes, I do not have so much to lay out up front.  If I had the $$$ I would be heading to see Dr Brassard.

However, I have what I have and need to work with it.

Thanks for the replies so far.

*thinks perhaps that a PM or better yet EMAIL would be the ideal way of response.*

I went to Dr. Preecha in Bangkok, Thailand. It has been over a year now and every thing works great.

No jam, go out and start your own thread.  I have run across only a couple of accounts that did not show the doc in a favourable light.  However, none of the gals I talked to who have been there in the last year had any issues.  MOF, they only had praise.

I'm a Dr. Chettawut patient, having had SRS and BA with him in May. I am delighted with my results. I'm orgasmic (as of 3 days ago), I have 6" of depth with the largest Duratek dilator. It looks normal externally. I pee straight.

I went with a friend who had surgery at the same time and she has similar results.

You can find an extensive writeup at www.kathygnome.com

I've never heard of any bad results to be honest. And Goddess knows, I looked. (Actually Pichet is the only major Thai surgeon I've heard anything bad about.)

I changed from Chettawut ot Preecha on the advice of my gender specialist who warned of the number of his patients who returned from Chet after having serious surgical complications. My surgery went well I have good depth and sensation and I paid significantly less.

i would not go to Dr. Chet. he always seems to have a problem with something.appearance or depth or a failed skin graft

My two cents, having spent the better part of 10 years researching SRS and surgeons:

Every surgeon has a litany of satisfied clients.
Every surgeon has horror stories of bad outcomes and prolonged complications.
No matter who you go to, its a gamble and a serious risk. Even in the "best" hands.

As such,  I believe that the most important factors for choosing a surgeon have less to do with reputation and purported expertise and more to do with how the logistics of scheduling a particular surgeon will fit into your life.

For instance, are you into the idea of traveling abroad? Or would you rather stick close to home? If, like me, you live in the US, does the cost differential between domestic and foreign surgeons weigh heavier in your mind than considerations related to travel, visas, follow-up appointments/complications/revisions?

I've driven myself crazy trying to nail down the supposed best SRS surgeon.  Its given me some piece of mind to try to put these other factors ahead of the rap sheet of a particular doctor, and to try to figure out what's best for me and my life.

I am going to this dr in march, and here is my opinion from what I have found.

There is always a chance for complications, this is with any surgery one may have. Also physical conditions, health, and other unknown factors can play a part in this, also wether the person was up-front about their pre-existing conditions. whos to say the person who has had complications wasnt up-front because they felt they wouldnt be able to get the surgery if they were?
I for one know this dr is very thorough in what he wants from me, he want all my med records from my dr's about all my conditions.

Here is something I also noticed, I have seen more actual people who were happy with dr c. than I have seen unhappy, from what I have noticed is the majority of the people who have said to stay away have no proof of his bad work, or links to people who have had the bad results.

another thing and this is a business stand point 1 satisfied customer will tell 2-3 people where 1 unhappy customer will tell 6-8 people

My New parts Look really great I am Sensate & I do Orgasm very well It Looks and feels Aesthetically correct I also had a Trachea shave & what a wonderful job He Did My Friend from the Uk Also went to Him 5 weeks ago & has just come Back she Is very very Pleased with the Results She Had GRS & a BA I had GRS & Trachea shave In the Time I did my Research before going to Him I only found one person who had a bad word to say about him. You will never never please all the People all of the Time. The other Questions you have to ask your self  How fit were these people  & how up front where they regarding any medical Complications that they may have had You have to be really fit & everything going for you and I mean your bloods your blood pressure & overall fitness they will determin Quite a lot I had 2 other Surgeons look at me In the UK before I went to Bangkok & what they told me stuck In my Mind so when I saw Dr Chettawut Pre Op He was Bang on what the Other Surgeons had told me So you pay's your money & make your choice that Is right for You & I know who I would go back to for anything Else.
