Functional =/= Fertile
Appearing functional =/= Functional

Once androgens are lowered to female range or even low male range sperm production slows or stops. I believe you have to be off HRT for a few months for it to come back if it does at all. Some people become permanently sterile.

Yep n that's why I think I'm gonna switch to bicalutamide, because it won't stop testosterone from being made, it will only prevent it's actions
and then when the time comes to have a family, I'm thinking I'll drop HRT n use clomifene or HGC to increase my chances.

That isn't an excuse. What I wrote right there are facts.
Have some more facts.

QuoteAdministration of bicalutamide may lead to inhibition of spermatogenesis. The long-term effects of bicalutamide on male fertility have not been studied.

It is possible that you can remain fertile, I know some people have been able to have kids, but don't bank on it. Don't think you will find a magical combination of drugs where you can both block your T and remain fertile 100% cause you will might end up being disappointed. If you have gone on HRT and come off some people stay infertile, some people don't. The only surefire way to make sure you are able to have biological children is to freeze your sperm prior to HRT.

Whatever though. Feel free to ignore me if you want, your loss.

Bicalutamide is probably worse than spiro from what I heard.

IMO you are rolling the dice here. I would bank the sperm now if you plan on having a family, or plan on adopting.

What I've read on bicalutamide is that its worse when it's used with LH-RH agonist, just like cyproterone n if your a transfemale and want children, medroxyprogesterone should also be avoided, because all of these drugs is used in chemical castration of sex offender.

Other then that monotherapy  just to block testosterones actions for hrt is totally different on bicalutamide, especially considering the does is at most ⅓ the strength of the prostate cancer treatment

No way spironolactone is way worse, it's ment as a potassium spearing drug, a female anti androgen, a female acne treatment (which may and up doing the opposite like cyproterone may) It decreases another hormone called aldosterone to.

It's all Russian roulette.

Is that the chance you wish to take?

Everything come down in life to choices.

You can talk yourself into a false sense of security where there is most likely no way back.

So will the charge be in the pipe or not?

I'm not talking myself into anything, I'm just on a search for useful information that may help not downers, because I'm not going to listen to people who say it's impossible, because it is like if so many endos haven't had a trans patient n don't know squat, or just won't tell me, then I have to search for myself.
