The Gazette

Transsexual Sue Stone, from North Shore, was upset after a Blackpool family complained to a national newspaper she was not a female carer.

Ms Stone, who had an operation to become a woman two years ago, is "fuming" and worried about the affect on other transsexuals in Blackpool after the client's daughter refused to let the carer bathe her mother.

Apparently she outed herself by the way she looked.  This is a tough one.  And who knows whether or not the complaints were justified or not.  I suppose we will never know.

Its sad society is this way, but people are judged on how they look for sure. She doesnt pass very well in the face and maybe there are other indicators as well. Either way she is certainly outed and may have to prove she is female down below...but I dont think that would really help. It would seem society judges how you look from the neck up.

Men are taken at face value, women on the value of their face.

What really annoys me is that the family who complained didn't just take it to the nurse's employer but also complained to a national paper thus involuntarily outing the poor woman to the entire world.

I hope what they sent around comes back soon.  >:(
