Some of you may know I seperated from my wife alittle over a month ago. We mostly stayed friends throughout everything with a few super rough days thrown in but for alittle over the past 2 weeks we've been like best friends to the point she's been talking to me about a new guy she has already starting to see. Well long story short she showed me a picture of him earlier......shirtless..........omg he is like literally the hottest guy I have ever seen in real life lol which is no surprise considering my ex is gorgeous. Anyways I find myself getting jealous but not over the fact that she's with someone new but who she's with lol. I know that's weird and sounds crazy and I think I still like girls too but damn do I think I mite likes guys just a little bit more.  This is half the reason we decided to split but yea I think that mite settle it. Random I know but just felt like sharing lol.

Its nice you remain friends but i found it better to keep romantic relationship off the topic table.

Well turns out the whole thing was just a big lie!!! I can't believe it the extent that she has lied about the past weeks in such detail and sending me a fake picture, its crazy! I can't even get over it I mean I had caught her in lies in the past and always knew she was crazy but nothing like this. Bleh.

Well, like I said...wish her well in her future endeavors. Someone who messes around with your mind and emotions like that is toxic to your health.

May I suggest separate finances, separate households, and one summons--to divorce court.

We'll we already have been living apart for alittle over two months but I have been still giving her a fair ammount of money even though I still watch our two young boys almost everyday. It really is such a shame though like I thought we were so good. She's always been quite a liar in some circumstance and a touch crazy but I never would have suspected anything like this. You were right though Beth, guess I do have to make things official I feel like it's almost impossible for me to move forward without it especially financially which also makes a divorce alone a concern. Guess I'll figure it out.

I did my D all alone, I did. Lawyers around here start at $2500 and go up rapidly. The county courthouse sold me a "DIY" kit--basically all the forms I needed (I also have kids, they're teens or older) as well as a set of very good instructions.

In my case, our separation and D was quite friendly...but then, my ex never deceived me at anytime during the marriage (23 years).

Be cautious though. Once you say something, it can't be unsaid.

I did my last divorce by myself as well. NY had this stupid law where you have to have grounds for divorce so we did a separation agreement for a year then filed for actual divorce. Another girl I helped was basically not having sex with her hubby for a year (he didn't want to even touch her) and that's grounds too. Not sure if NY has true no fault divorce now. I know the legislature was considering it. We can get divorced in NY or NJ if we wanted since we live in NJ but married in NY.

Anyway if you don't have complicating factors like child support or a house or alimony you can do it yourself very easily.
