  Hi there!

After a long, long lurk I have decided to join in on the fun.

My name is Damien, I'm 26 and FAAB and living in the Netherlands (any other cloggies on board here?). My story is typical of most I have read here. From a young age I knew something was up and puberty was a living hell. It wasn't until a self destructive period in my late teens/early twenties that finally made me realize what I was and that I HAD to take action if I wanted to survive.

I have already started T in May of this year, but due to emotional problems I've decided to take a 3 month time-out to sort myself out. Everything is in place to start, I just have to wait for the relevant appointments, ect.

I am passionate about music (listening, I can't play a single note, lol). I'm mostly into goth, rock and metal. Since the age of 14 I have identified with the goth-subculture and I still do. But I have taken a bit more distance from it due to elitism and other ego-issues which I will not go into. I guess my personal style could be described as post-punk meets death rock meets Swedish sleaze. I still don't pass, which is annoying. But I am hoping it will get better as time goes on.
Furthermore I love sewing and knitting. I also have two cats (one Sphynx, Maddox, and one fur ball, Seth), which I love to pamper. I'm a bit of a science-fiction nerd as well, I love Star Trek and Doctor Who. I also like fantasy (Merlin mostly, but I hate the LOTR- and The Hobbit-films, I prefer the books!) Oh yeah, I love to read and from time to time I like to draw (if I can think of something I would like to draw, that is)

At the moment I don't really have a job, so I'm just doing some volunteer work and I'll see where I go from there. I am out and I haven't had any problems so far. My parents took some time to accept everything and even though they sometimes slip on on the pronouns they do make the effort.

I'm hoping to make a few friends via this forum and to give to and ask advice from my fellow readers when needed/wanted.

Hello there :) I'm just across the border from you!
I joined here recently after finally figuring out what was up with me at the ripe old age of 38 :D I'm pre-everything and I try to take things slowly,  mostly for the sake of my marriage.
Looking forward to seeing you around!

The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS
