Hello,I am Michelle and I am a 36 year old post op transsexual.I knew there was something wrong with me as a child, felt that I was really female and shook it off.It was 10 years ago I came out having feelings that I was really a woman. It got bad after that,ex wife found my stash of women's clothing and left me even after coming out.We did ended up getting divorced after that.It was with my dad also, said get out and I was out of his life.My mom was the same way with my dad and it hurt when both rejected me on the spot.It was after the divorce was final that I decided to start the transition to become the woman I seen myself as.I had great support from friends and a great transgendered community. My life is much better after I had my SRS 7 years ago,I have no fears looking in the mirrior now.I also have a great husband,Nate and we have been married for 3 monthes.

Hi Michelle,

Welcome to our little family. Over 15160 members. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister.

Hi Michelle, thanks for sharing! It took me much longer to finally develop the courage to embrace and affirm my feminine nature, and your example inspires me.

I look forward to sharing the same first name, too. (I've been going by "Michele" for a few months, which is the Italian equivalent of my given name.)
