Hmmm...you know, if that's how you've been training yourself, it means you've been straining your vocal cords; this is very very bad. My advice? Try going down a bit. My voice is a quarter deeper than yours, but it passes too, and is never painful for me to do. I had to break free of the overly flamboyant voice too-it takes a bit of time, but it's fairly easy. You may want to move down from your nasal regester a bit; it's not good for the vocal cords. The ideal voice rests on the border between the nasal and chest regesters-it has the most range, the most dynamic flexibility, and sounds very, very natural. You've done a really great job hon...if you can make it a more healthy voice, it'll be utterly flawless.
