Hi everyone I am now 24 days post op from srs with dr Suporn and one thing I noticed over the past 2 weeks was my body hair (leg and forearm specifically) has grow a lot denser darker and coarser. I restarted my hrt at 2 weeks post op and am hoping this is only temporary since it is quite a huge amount of dark growth. I was off hrt a week before surgery btw. Is this normal? I haven't had any other ill effects aside from the leg and arm hair problem. Thank you x

Yes it is normal.

Need some time for your body to get back to the female norm.

Experienced some of it, but not much. I epilate for 5 years now, and hairs have been getting thinner since. I was off hormones for 8 weeks, 6 pre and 2 post.

I had a *little* bit, though to be honest I was kind of preoccupied with other things and didn't pay much attention.

I definitely did have a surge of testosterone once I was off HRT and my body tried to compensate for "menopause," though. If something similar is going on for you, proper T suppression again (which can happen via E only, post-op) should fix it.

I had quite a bit of growth during the period surrounding my surgery. Gone now (5 months post-op).
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?
