So It's been a month since my haircut and I don't really like it that much anymore. XD
Planning to go to a barber sometime this week and want to try something different.

This is me now.

Should I try a faux hawk, pompadour or something else?

Don't go too short, it can make you pass less. Keep it long enough on top if you want to go shorter.

Personally I think longer suits you anyway, if you were thinking of shorter I think this would look cool :

But maybe a tad longer.

Hope the barbers goes well ~

I think the pompadour would be bad ass. Just my opinion!

Go for a fade. I find especially pre-t or early in transition a conservative and very male cut is the best bet. High fades keep the sides short and long on top, quite a bit like the photo posted....that hides the rounded female hairline. Stay away from anything androgynous (unless that is what you are going for of course, but I'm going to assume that you are male-identified) and especially a buzz cut, since the hairline is a dead give away.

So should I go fade with pompadour on top? :O

I'm not Goku, I'm just Sayin' you pass. I had to check where you posted this to to be sure. Just a little confidence boost for you.

Yeah that'd look cool, you might even be able to pull the 'Macklemore' look off :D

I would somewhat avoid that kind of haircut since you have a long-ish face. I got something similar, and when I try to get some product in to get it spiked, I ended up looking like a pineapple. Just a warning. Ask your barber about what works with your face shape, they usually have good advice. If you want fade, they can incorporate it in.

Yeah, I just got told that and my mom basically forbade me to cut my hair any shorter though I'll get it done anyways.
I really like this though:

I did a faux hawk for a long time and even had the longer strip in back, which I would do up so it was more of a mohawk. I liked it and it was butch, but when I came out a few people said it was "girly". I looked into it and technically, its an androgenous style and can be made to look more feminine or masculine, depending. That being said, I think it came down to it was the style people associated with me being a woman.
So what I did,( and my advice to you) is I went to my stylist this week. I've been to her twice before. I went in and said "Since I last saw you, I started Testosterone to masculanize my appearance. I need to drastically change my hair to a men's style that I can wear up or down, and that works with my face still having the female round shape." And then I let her work. I did not direct her to any style, I just let her clip away. I didn't even look in the mirror as she worked, I just let it happen. She went super short on the sides and faded it to longer on top. The top is short enough that I can spike it, but long enough that I can comb it if I want a more dapper look. I like it a lot.
That being said, are you "out" to your stylist/barber? I think that might be the most important part. Otherwise, if they assume you're female but asking for a short cut, they might give you something that reads more female...
I'll try to post some pics of the cut, but I sort of suck at posting pics here...
