Pogotractor

Hi! I am a 26 years old transguy. I am pre-T and pre-op but I am working on that. I have been lurking for a week and I thought it could be nice to talk to other transpeople.

My life has been a mess until now. I guess this trans issue was a big part of it. I tried to hide it and forget about it and I finally got mentally ill and alcoholic. I never felt like myself. I felt like there was nothing inside me. Until last spring I finally decided that I will transition and stop pretending and hiding and actually live. I started to get better. I went to see the doctor about this trans issue and after waiting almost 6 months I finally got an appointment to another city where they diagnose transpeople and know about surgeries and such.

I couldn't imagine how big impact this would have on my life. I have stopped drinking. It has been impossible before. I am actually happy for the first time in my life. I am going to start studying again. I want to do stuff. Basically everything has changed. I never wanted to do anything before. Nothing mattered. Everything got even better after I started coming out. My family and friends have accepted me and the relief was unbeliavable after I was finally out.

I am pretty sure that year 2015 will be awesome!

Thanks.  :)

It was a little hard to try to pick a name. Then I started thinking about things I like and first things that came to my mind were pogo sticks and tractors.

Hi Pogotractor, welcome to Susan's Place! I'm from Boston. I'm an alcoholic too, I quit in 1986. I wish you continued success in the new year and beyond.  See you around the site!
