Hey peeps,
Hope you all doing well?
Well, I have been on HRT for about 7 months now (via endo).
Here goes...
Last week I had my 3monthly endo appointment, and the blood tests were for E and T only.
I was expecting him to up my dosages again, as my T levels were in the lower male range 3 months ago,
and he only increased my E dosage that visit.
But the results were perfect according to him i think 1.7T and 375E, so no changes in meds...
I am on a low dose of Estrodial valerate and Spiro (according to what other transflolk i know use),
And this makes complete sense to me why nobody should self med according to others dosages without proper testing!

My question today is:
I was consuming too little water over the last few months (forgot, and only realized that now), could that possibly cause the hormone levels to be higher, with a lower dose of meds?

I am only due for my next endo appointment only in 6 months time.

And please, no answers like "go see your endo, or ask your doctor".

I don't know about it effecting your hormone levels (I can't see how it would??) but you do run the risk of causing yourself problems with dehydration which may affect your kidneys. Hope you're drinking more now.

Hi Grace,
I see you have some great xmas spirit going there already ;D

Yeah, i wasn't that thirsty lately, and never realized that my water consumption dropped so low (maby 1liter a day max, when i am at the office, and that is only 3 days a week... the rest of the week its maby half of that..)

I started getting muscle cramps again, then realized my water consumption was too low... Going to the loo was also much less than usual.

I did also notice my hunger levels increase a lot, but i think it was my body actually needing water, not food...

Hormone levels fluctuate...especially E, so that could explain why they are what they are when you got them tested and why it's useless to test because they vary so much...also, that the same level for two people has a different effect on the body, it's called individual sensitivity and a test cannot measure that...just to compare, my levels last tested in pmol/L which I assume are your units for E were over 10,000
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience
