Bimmer Guy

Hi, guys.  I could really use some help.  Evidently, my girlfriend has been struggling very much with me transitioning (taking testosterone).  She is very upset and distressed, but didn't want to tell me.  Since our sexual relationship didn't include her touching my genitals at all (we are both happy this way), and she has never defined as a lesbian, only queer, it wasn't expected (by either of us).  She also prefers my top surgery over the breasts I had.

Anyway, she is very upset that she has no one to talk to about this and doesn't feel comfortable being on this site because I am on it (certainly understandable).  She can't find a FB support group, yahoo group, or any google search that isn't defunct.  She is especially looking for a group of women whose female partners transitioned to male, rather than people whose partners transitioned from male to female, but anything would help.

Her therapist isn't helpful because she feels that my partner was "duped", even though at the time that we met she knew that I didn't identify as a woman.  My partner doesn't feel duped, but evidently her lesbian therapist is pretty pushy on this (as an aside, this therapist is a specialist in something my partner struggles with, so changing to another therapist isn't the answer).  Plus, she wants to find other women who have experienced this, not just have an understanding therapist.

We have been together or 5 years and have been planning our lives together, so it is hard to see her so upset and I am concerned about how this will impact us.  It is so unexpected.

Since putting a link to another site in this thread may not be ok in terms of the TOS, please PM me the information.

Thanks, guys.

Hi, mrs. izzy.  The problem is that she doesn't want to be on the same forum as me.  Which, I totally understand.  She has certainly read through it, though.

Thank you.

Glad she at least looked over some of the posts. That could be a good reference point for her. We have a few partnered forum members on site.
Just have to be open to the emotions that might come out in posts.
I wish your spouse the best in finding the help she is looking for.
