No T ...no Filter..do i still pass (i'm 23)

Yes about 18 to 20. Personally, I feel like snapbacks make people look younger (due to the average wearer's age group), just my 2 cents if you want to look older.

Hey guys, how am I doing? I don't feel like I look or sound very masculine, but I've been dropping weight and trying to look less "soft". Please don't quote the pictures in case I want to get rid of them.

Before T-

And now, almost one year.

You guys are all looking great!! Some awesome progress on this thread  ^-^

Trying- I agree that you pass better in the first photo. I think your hair being a bit messier helps you out, and you do have a prominent Adam's apple! It also might be that the part in the second photo shows off your hairline? I can't exactly pinpoint what says female to me...  ???

Jossef- you've always passed to me! I think passing as male vs passing for your age is the struggle you face now. If you are very set on looking older, I would ditch the hat and try more conservative clothes. Think polos, dress shoes, button downs, khakis, etc. I don't think your glasses would look out of place if you dressed like this.

Blake- wow definite changes between your two photos! You look very similar to a young gay guy I know who's about 18. You are a handsome guy and T is only helping further that!

Zombie- you look great man! Some really prominent changes between your two photos. You have absolutely nothing to worry about; anyone who thinks you look soft is blind! Your glasses and facial hair really add to your masculinity. Congrats on a year on T and your weight loss!!
"It takes more courage to reveal insecurities than to hide them, more strength to relate to people than to dominate them, more manhood to abide by thought-out principles rather than blind reflex. Toughness is in the soul and spirit, not in muscles and an immature mind." --Alex Karras

10 weeks on T

I think you pass a whole lot better with a shorter haircut. You're also "in the middle" to me too.

Yeah I know, I'll get one after Christmas. But I can't go too short cause my mother is threatening to have me kicked out because she doesn't want my hair almost bald.

Thank you very much! I was pretty surprised and pleased with most of my changes, they happened fairly quickly haha. But thus far I've only been misgendered once after starting T. Thank you for the congrats, man!

Does she not know you are transitioning?

You are lucky you have thick hair.  You should be able to wear some awesome styles!  Something to look forward to if you can't cut it the way you might want to right now.   :)

She knows, calls me son and stuff but she doesn't understand the importance of a haircut in passing as male and really thinks I'm going to cut my entire hair off. So I'll just shorten the back and sides and then leave the length on top with a side part.  Need to use hair product because apparently natural doesn't work for me. Either way, I'm stuck having a baby face with a deep voice since my brother's face didn't masculinized that much from puberty. Still gets carded for alcohol.

Thick hair for the win!

I passed fairly decently for the most part, until I spoke haha. For the most part, I was taken for a really "pretty" guy.

I'm having fun going through everyone's images.

Marcellow, you're looking pretty good to me! Maybe style your hair a little differently if you can't go shorter, but you've got a nice face shape to work with. :)

lol that's funny that she doesn't want to kick you out for being on hormones or for going through with the transition, but she threatens to kick you out over your hair.

You look good, and I agree with the others that you are somewhere in the middle right now. You're getting there though and the haircut helps a lot!

My shirt is wrinkled weird in this picture but I'm wearing a tight binder so you can't see my chest.

Yeah. I showed her an alternative hairstyle that isn't even OMG short short and she's like they'll shave your sides and back but they'll leave all the length on top, ugly!

I bet this haircut would really work with your hair.

Pass, and I'd guess you were a baby-faced college student. My brain says early 20s, probably because you remind me of me. :D But I suspect you get read as a young teen a lot.

Marcel, you are DEFINITELY looking more masculine between this shot and the last time I saw a pic. Very nice.

Joey .there is no questions ,u passed
