I saw my doctor today and, like every time I see her, she left a few pages of patient instructions with me.  I usually don't pay much attention to this as it's mostly just a list of the medications I'm taking and some general information such as emergency phone numbers.

Today I took a closer look at this paperwork, though, and found a list of diagnoses at the bottom.  I was surprised to find listed among them "agenesis of the cervix."

From Wikipedia:
QuoteCervical agenesis is a congenital disorder of the female genital system that manifests itself in the absence of a cervix, the connecting structure between the uterus and vagina.

I assume that this was added to my chart for some sort of insurance reason (perhaps I needed a particular test that required a justifying diagnosis?) but it gave me a little chuckle.

My boyfriend and I have always talked about making up some condition that I was born with to tell his family if they ever get pushy about us having kids.  It's pretty funny to find out that I have an actual diagnosis that explains everything perfectly.

Has anyone else been diagnosed with peculiar things like this?
