When I was pre-T, I was not bothered at all about losing fertility because I didn't really want kids and I definitely didn't want to carry one. But now after 3 years on T I've been getting clucky desires to have a baby despite the dysphoria I know it would cause me, and considering the possibility of stopping T to carry my own child at some point (not now). I'm not talking about detransition at all, btw. Do any other guys have these thoughts? I feel a bit weird and I understand trans pregnancy is a controversial topic.

Is there any research at all on long-term T effects on fertility? Even anecdotal evidence would suffice as there is so little information on ftm pregnancy. Would most trans guys be fertile again after stopping T? Would there be more chance of miscarriage or problems with the baby even after conceiving successfully? I vaguely remember a documentary about an ftm who had been on T for 7 years before getting pregnant. Wouldn't that length of time on T usually render someone irreversibly infertile, or doesn't it matter? ???

kast, for what I have heard from several sources that each of us is an individual person and how our bodies react when we stop t is different.  If you are not too old and I don't know what age that is, you will probably start to have a cycle of some type, maybe regular to very irregular.  Whether you ovulate is another question.  As for something else, I know of a case where a ftm and mtf were both on hormones for years and he got pregnant as they felt that they were both sterile.  You just don't know.  For a ftm on t you could be pregnant for months and don't you were.

I've come across tons of articles and videos about or of pregnant transmen. I don't even know how, haha. I guess I like parenting so much that it subconsciously works its way into my interests. So, certainly other trans guys have desired pregnancy, and they don't see themselves as less manly because of it.

So here's what I've heard. Some people are rendered infertile after a certain time on T, others can get pregnant if they stop taking it no matter how long they've been on it (with the obvious criteria of not having had a hysterectomy). Perhaps that just depends on your body, so I don't think it's something you can predict. You have to stop T if you do get pregnant, because it could harm the fetus. I don't know anything more in-depth than this, though. Generally, being pregnant, you'll have to endure a few vaginal ultrasounds until they can start doing them on the skin of your belly, unless there are complications that require them to do frequent vaginal ultrasounds.

Does that help? I tried to cover as much as I could. Unfortunately, I haven't come across any scientific studies yet.
Just a little faerie punk floating through this strange world of humans.

It seems like it really does depend on the individual. I guess there's no way to tell which transguys would be fertile after, or how long it would take etc.
