Okay. I admit it. I'm at work and I'm being completely unmotivated to work at all, so I'm going to pose you this question.

What, in your humble opinion is the "Perfect" album? This is an album that, taken as a whole, is a fantastic listen on both sides, is something you can play again and again and never get tired of? Something where all the songs kind of gel together and the sum is greater than its parts.

For me, it's Paul Simon's Graceland.

My father and I don't really see eye to eye on much. But on this we both agree that this album is one of the world's best, and that's saying quite a lot. What about you folks?

Any album by Queen or La Roux  :). Although I haven't listened to her 2nd album yet.
They/them pronouns preferred.

There are a lot of albums that I like, but very few "perfect" albums within them. There's almost always something I'd rather remove from the song list. Off the top of my head, I can only think of four of my favorites that are perfect.

Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
The Pixies - Doolittle
Mad Season - Above
Screaming Trees - Sweet Oblivion

I also happen to have all four of these on vinyl. Guess what I play all the time on repeat? None of these are even my favorite band, because my favorite likes to throw a lot of crap in the middle of their albums.

Because its genetic makeup is irregular, it quickly changes its form due to a variety of causes.

Though I balk at the notion of a "perfect" album, Spiderland comes to mind.
Exceptions to the norm do not constitute a spectrum.

I think that there have been very few "perfect" albums ever made.  Here are some that I think that come pretty close to the mark.   If it's awesome front to back and was well-produced and mixed considering the available equipment, here's what comes to mind:

Pink Floyd- The Wall, Dark Side of the Moon
The Who- Tommy, Who's Next
Led Zeppelin I, II, III, IV, Houses of the Holy
Deep Purple- Machine Head, In Rock
Dream Theater- Scenes From a Memory
Metallica- Master of Puppets
Iron Maiden- Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind
Judas Priest- Sad Wings of Destiny
Marty Friedman- Scenes
Black Sabbath- Black Sabbath, Paranoid
AC/DC- Anything with Bon Scott
U2- Joshua Tree
Queen - A Night at the Opera
Jethro Tull- Aqualung
Cream- Disraeli Gears

Bellatrix

Dr Dre - Chronic 2001
Bastille - Bad Blood

Thats the only 2 i can listen to from start to finish.

Toh Kay- The Hand that Thieves would be my choice as The "Perfect" Album. The individual songs I love,  however the album as a whole is really where it shines; I could, and have, just put it on repeat for an extended period of time.

Others that would be close for me

Laura Stevenson- Wheel
Against Me!- Searching for a Former Clarity & Against Me! is Reinventing Axl Rose
Chadwick Stokes- Simmerkane II

Well for me it depends when I'm asked. Few years ago is say queens greatest hits. Still think that. When it comes to the over and over factor, I'm an oddone and love weird al. I could listen to his be "Mandatory Fun" album as much as I wanted. Otherwise from today hat I love of most is soundtrack genera. Preferably Two Steps From Hell. Despite the name, the leading composer Thomas Bergerson is pretty much a modern day musical genious and creates some of the most beautiful music all the time. His newest album "Sun" has some good tunes on it as does the album "Miricles." One bed. Listening to his music for 3 years and haven't gotten board yet. So for me, that's what's perfect created music.
