Post cardio workout today, I noticed I am forming a muffin top and I cant help but wonder if this is part of fat re-distribution. I recently lost a lot of weight (more than 50 lbs) so I am not expecting for fat to accumulate on my belly area except for the chips, chocolates and cake I had last night Christmas Eve LOL  but it sorts of give me an illusion of hips when I am wearing tight fitting tops. I kinda like it and dont :)

Did anyone of you ladies experience or see this in any stage of your transition? I am on my 4th month HRT. Thanks!

I wore looser clothes and jeans when I got... more fabulous.

I've got the muffin going on, I were tummy control jeans they basically go up like an inch past your belly button and make everything look all nice and neat. I love my jeans. Wish the tummy fat would go away but at least there's ways to dress around it. Summer time is even better just wear a dress all the time.

all of your fat cells are like water balloons that have all been placed from puberty to your young adult life, after that you don't redistribute fat you can just increase it or decrease it, with very small amounts of preference based on your hormones, unfortunately that means that for us older trans women we cannot really do much about body shape without having fat transfer surgery, im almost 17 months and the area you speak of is the main area i gain fat and it hasn't changed since i was about 2 months on hrt,

im just being realistic and it really sucks but its just science, i am very adamant about getting fat transfer surgery to reshape my body with the fat cell locations

Speaking truths and ditto, I am going to be doing that in 2015. I feel like I've been waiting all my life for it!

Yup, me too, long time into HRT, still got a muffin top. Agree with all, tops that flair, dresses (especially the summer ones), and surgery if it really bothers.. I have lost about 3~4 kilos (6 to 9lbs) in last 2 months but the MT gets smaller but still there... Hmm wish it would go to my butt tho

Pretty much secured with my decision to go with Dr. Hughes in Culver City. Seems to have the best reputation for being aggressive, which is what I need without much fat to begin with.

I do have a little muffin top now that I've been intentionally gaining some weight in prep, but I know my waist can go to 27" flat or maybe a little smaller. Pretty much no other surgeon I would trust to get "it all". He has insane reviews, still can't find a single bad one after a year of researching. Oh and apparently he does like 500 fat transfers a year :o

I'm lucky enough to have lost most of my belly and any hint of muffin top over the last twenty months. I had a paunch at the start of 2013 that no longer exists. Maybe I'm drinking less beer? Dunno, don't care, glad it's gone. My butt and thighs have widened though, so, yay!

I have fairly small hips, and wide shoulders, though I was a fat kid because of an intestinal hernia that I didn't figure out I had until I was 22, eight years ago. After surgery I lost almost a hundred pounds, but was skinny, and saggy -- so I took up yoga a couple years after that, and have been a frequent practitioner -- in preparation of my transformation I'm dieting, and doing lots of yoga. My top four abs are visible, but doubt I'll ever get my skin to tighten enough to see the lower ones. My stomach skin hangs a bit too in the center when I'm doing plank type poses. I'm fairly muscular now though, because I'm a roofer, and just spent the summer up until a couple weeks ago doing roofing, which is a notoriously physically demanding job. My boss says I can still do it next summer with him when I transition, but I'm not quite sure if I'll be able to maintain the pace I'm used to. Most likely I'll be looking for another career.

I don't expect HRT to do everything I want, I expect to have to work hard too. I know someone that started HRT just like six months ago, and is like sixty, and her body transformation from just diet and exercise combined with HRT is astonishing. Inspired me into thinking it was possible for me too.
