I'm just curious ladies, when in your HRT journey did you encounter most of your male fail incidents? Was it in your 6th month on HRT, earlier or later?
Thanks for the feedback :)

I'm still waiting on my first one.   :-\

I *think* I've maybe gotten a few curious glances.....  Maybe?  It could all be wishful thinking though.  Hopefully it'll start happening soon though!  (I'm almost nine months in but only about four months at my current dosage.)

My thoughts exactly. In the recent days, I think i've been getting some male fails already starting with an incident at a food court. The Chinese woman was waving at me directing me to come to her to pay " she yelled and called me sir, please come here to pay"...when I approached her she basically laughed at herself embarrassed and corrected herself and called me Ma'am LOL. She was very apologetic and sincere :)  Music to my ears!

Thank you so much!  That pic is actually pre HRT, with my wig.  I'm trying to grow my own hair out now (it's about hobbit length currently and very curly, so it takes a lot longer).  Hopefully I'll get there soon, I'm still kicking myself for ever cutting it short.

I could say the same for yours too, love your look!

Carmen, that's really cool!  To be properly gendered after getting close up like that, I'd be in heaven.  :)

The first time was about 3 months in, I think... by six months I couldn't convince anybody who didn't know me before to believe I was a guy, even with a male ID. Good thing I'd already arranged to be full time before then, I suppose.

Male fail began roughly 1.5 years in (I was started low dose due to my already low blood pressure, so the effects took a while for me). I also refused to put forth any effort in presentation, mainly because I felt if I was gendered male when TRYING it would just be too painful.

I've been gendered exclusively female for the past month now (just got FFS/am recovering, will be updating my profile pic after I see the stylist!!!!), even when conversing with strangers. As long as they don't know my legal name, I'm "ma'amed" and "miss'd", thus, why I am going full time within the week!!!

I'm not on hrt yet, but got male fail 85% of the time when I started my job around three months ago. That's what made me finally decide to start transitioning!

I'm still not out yet so everywhere I go or when I work I'm either suited up or in full male clothing/ sports gear. No androgynous clothing to dress up in. But I get gendered correctly quite often and it has taken about 6-7 months for that. Though my voice still needs sooooo much work... :( I do get quite a lot of curious glances and people tend not to use pronouns until I talk haha...voice fail..

I get it a few times. I'm basically in reality 3 months into HRT but only 1 month really full dose/full regimen. I would say once electro has cleared enough of my face I'll get it more.

I've been getting called "ma'am" or "miss" for years, way before starting HRT. I guess being IS and having hair down to my waist and four piercings in each ear confuses people. :D

The best one was when I worked in retail and was outside in the garden shop and heard someone behind me saying "scuse me, honey. Hey honey. Darlin." I didn't realise he was talking to me at first and kept walking. When I twigged to the fact that he was calling me I really kept going. I had on shorts and had been shaving my legs for years at that point.

Now it's daily after four months of HRT, at least until I open my mouth and say something.

Many times long before even going full time it happened especially if I was wearing hat covering the bald spot in my hair I would get called ma'am. Early on after going full time my voice was what would give me away. I haven't had any mis-gendering in a good month now, but then I have been on HRT for over 3 months now. My voice has also gotten to appoint where it passes and I have gotten really comfortable with it so I have no doubt that has played a role

I started hitting male fail at about 9 months on HRT. I've been called ma'am twice now while out in guy mode.

When you fail at presenting male--basically when you start getting called female pronouns while out in guy mode because you don't pass very well as a guy anymore.

Oh! ok gotcha, ty Alaia :~D

Nah, hasn't happened to me. But I don't dare go out as male anymore. Blue beard shadow + boobs = just wrong.
