Woo Hoo! I started my hormones today!  EXCITED!

The endo has me on Estradiol and Medroxyprogesteron to start.  She says we may add Spiro in a couple of months depending on progress.

Now I just need to calm down enough to get sleep tonight, I have an early day of work tomorrow.

Congratulations!

That said, you mentioned sleep... sometimes a hormonal 180 can cause sleep problems. I had it when I started but I quickly returned to normal. But your doctor should give you advice on what to do.

Many congrats to your big step in starting your journey!! I started a month ago and will never forget the excitement I felt that first day!
Be you, the world will adjust.

If you experience depression/anxiety or irritability, please let your doctor know as medroxyprogesterone acetate may sometimes cause this in some. More suitable in my opinion is bio-identical progesterone due to a better side-effect profile BUT she is the doctor, I am NOT. Congrats and all the best though, hopefully all will go well. :)
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience
