@mm Yeah it does suck being reminded of those parts every day. Unfortunately, in my area in order to get the hysterectomy (and also for insurance purposes), I need to see OB for a consult. Talk about embarrassing! They asked "What is your spouse's name" when I called to make the appointment, lol. I guess I can just be happy my voice is not questioned over the phone as being male.
I am hoping to get insurance to cover it as I have had a few surgeries already for endometriosis and poly cystic ovaries before T so I definitely have a paper trail of problems. We will see though, my consult is on 1/22.
@nathanielm I'm glad it helped to hear that my doc said some guys continue to have symptoms. I have heard that a hysterectomy is really the only way to "cure" the issues though, even before my doc confirmed. If your doc isn't listening to you or you feel uncomfortable with your care, definitely look elsewhere. A good doctor will hear you out. After all, no one knows your body and what is going on with it more than you.
