Well the girls have been uncomfortable and painful so instead of going a buying a bra from the chain store I went for a fitting. It cost nothing.

Ahhh comfort.

I really do recommend it!!

I went to two stores near me, Macy's and Nordstrom. The lady in Macy's measured me as a 36AA and said that "that size makes it very hard to fit you." I bit back the impulse to launch a volley of 4-letter words in her direction, and instead politely told her that I was sorry, but these were the only breasts I have, but that I would work on trying to make them a size that was more convenient for her.

I went across the way to Nordstom, where the lady found the same two breasts to be a 34B, and was easily able to find a number of (really expensive) bras that fit me perfectly. It cost me US$60, but I ended up buying one because they fit so fantastically.

The moral of the story is to shop around.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

Suzi : I think the moral of the story is also "start with Nordstrom's." ;) I went there as well once the growth slowed down enough to make buying an expensive bra worthwhile, and had the same experience - pricey, but the fitter immediately found a whole selection of amazingly comfortable, pretty bras in my size (and that size was not the same as it is in cheap bras).

I have a few bras I've purchased from TJMax, but I've found that my $40 and $50 bras I found on my own at MACYs during a Black Friday sale were well worth the markups.  They are much more comfortable and better made.  I highly recommend going to the upscale stores (Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, etc.) if you want competent help, and bringing a girlfriend or your mom clothes shopping when you go to discount or department stores like JCP, Old Navy, MACYs, etc.  I sound like a snob, but I swear it's based on experience[emoji56].

Lol, you don't sound like a snob at all- don't worry. I totally agree, bras are definitely something worth spending more on. The nicer quality makes all the difference!

I had mine done years ago after my BA at Victoria Secrets.

Then just to see how close they did i had it done at lane bryants.

They both gave the same recommendation on size of band and cup size.

Yes it is nice to treat yourself to a professionally measured and matched bra.

Lifetime of information.

Hi Girls .I went to Debenems for My first Bra fitting .They where very helpfull and made Me feel at ease as I had to go in male mode .as they said I am not the First and definately wont be the last .So any Girls that are concerned about having a fitting don't worry about it Give a reputable shop a ring and arrange a private fitting they will be very happy to arrange one for you and will be very descreet about it .I was made to feel quite at ease .And the Bra's I bought are very comfortable and descreet so that I can wear them at work in male mode and they do not show under my shirts .I would not have been able to find such descreet Bra's without them .So I highly recommend a good Bra fitter .I was a bit embarassed when I first aproached them but I was very quickly reasured and put at ease .Best thing I ever Did
The girl inside is just as important expecially to Yourself :)

Wow, I probably would have had a panic attack if I went to get fitted in drab.
