' There has been a massive and much needed wave of news regarding anything having to do with that often neglected sub-group within the LGBT acronym. Transgender awareness is finally stepping forward in this country and much of us are learning what it means to be transgender .'

Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

I looked at the article, but didn't see any mention of concrete steps they're taking to accommodate TG people.  When people try to accommodate a group that people aren't used to accommodating, there's sometimes a gap between intentions and action, and between actions that look nice and actions that make a difference.

That frequently proves to be a problem for disabled people.  (We have this nice disabled bathroom -- right up this flight of stairs....)

Anybody know any more?

They claim they have a plan for attracting transgender tourists... hmm.

The article also mentioned Southern Comfort will be leaving Atlanta and move to Ft. Lauderdale.  I guess they have a focus group studying the issues.

Is this the same Florida that's planning to criminalize TG people using the bathroom of their identified gender?

I can't see how this would present a problem for the people attending the Southern Comfort convention.
Not.
