4 months ago I started HRT.  The largest milestone to that point.

While the mental effects were immediate and impacted me greatly to the positive, the physical takes time to develop.

Well finally the physical is here, and now.  First bra fitting tomorrow with a very trans friendly place in town.  I still can't believe this is happening, it's almost surreal.  This is really happening?  All those years of burying all emotions...conversely, so much progress lately.  It's a beautiful thing. 

Can't wait til tomorrow comes.  Another milestone to be proud of in this journey.

If you could tell us what way they measured you and whatever else might seem helpful to us that'd be great. It could really prove useful.

Don't buy too expensive of a bra at four months in. You're the equivalent of a young teenage girl - you won't be getting more than a few months' wear out of that bra!

(That said, congrats and enjoy! I didn't get a fitting until about 3 years on HRT, but what they say is true; the expensive bras definitely were a different size and [much better] fit than the cheap ones I had going into it.)

What Jenna says is true you're going to upsize so be prepared for more fittings in the future.

That was me a few months ago   Congratulations Michelle!  It was a super positive experience for me.  And like you, I live in a very trans friendly place.  CaptFido87 when I went they did the band measurement underneath.  I think trying to do the band measurement above is ridiculous, as it's hard to keep the tape level.  I tried many brands, as each one fit a little different, even for the same size.  Some worked and some did not, but I came away with something I looked good in and was comfortable.  Let us know how it goes.

I went for my first bra fitting about two into my hrt... found out i was wearing the wrong cup and band size... the staff were very professional and very helpful. I went to be lingerie store to have my fitting, i bought a stunning bra that day.

You will be amazed how comfortable a bra that fits right is.. you barely feel its there.

Excitement on high. Will try another day soon, schedule mix up. Drats!

OH it was fun   Too bad it only lasted about 15 minutes, but the sales person, a friend of a friend, is fantastic.  She took time with me to give me hints on durability, wash, wear.  Now if I only had the $$$ to buy more.

So nice to hear you had a positive experience   I buy from SOMA online all the time and another nice online boutique is HoneydewIntimates.com, they have lots of cute bralettes and things.

And all I can say is thank gawd for push-up bras!!

Hehe!  I wasn't sold on the idea of a formed bra, I simply took her advice, after all, she's the successful friend I've heard all about and is warm & welcoming, but the more I thought about it, I like it. 

I'll check out that other place.  This can become very expensive very quickly...

Sad thing is, I won't have much opportunity to wear it in the very near future.  But, it's still a huge milestone.  Month #5 begins Friday.  So much is happening so fast.
