At no point does the article state the person was transgender. The only statement that even suggests it is possible is by the paper and that is simply that Transgender prostitutes frequent the area, and that Beard once was convicted of prostitution and soliciting a prostitute. Everything else including preferred gender is an assumption, a good assumption maybe but still not backed up by any facts in evidence.
