As awkward and disgusting as it is, the shark weeks for me are very very irregular, they are never on the same day they are also very light and only last 2 to 3 days know I have already mentioned getting my hormone levels checked because of things like my arms being veiny, as well as other masculine characteristics I am just afraid to get checked because I don't want my mom to act stupid or worse stress about it, if they did infact find something because obviously me or my dad would have to tell her.

It wouldn't hurt to get everything checked out. Plus, aren't you turning 18 sometime before the school year ends? Are you trying to start T soon after your birthday? Have you been looking for a doctor for that? You'd save money if you just waited for them to test you.

My birthday is next weekend I won't be starting T directly after no, my dad is trying to get his money together for a therapist, but I also want some input from God I am religious as you know and wanna make sure what I am doing is right.

Brandon, the human body is and interesting thing. Before I started HRT I had lots of facial hair I shaved daily, had a very masculine body and didn't get shark week at all, my weight was normal so I thought I had high testosterone and my Dr did too. Turned out I had low testosterone, my Dr was really shocked by that (I was too). All my doc could think was my body just wanted to be that way, he knew I was trans. That was four years ago and also when I started HRT. Best part of all that was my body felt fantastic as soon as I started T since I was lacking it. So you could be having a similar thing, not  necessarily low T but a body that's wanting to be more masculine.

Btw, thought I should mention I did used to have shark week but it was very similar to you but it just petered out and stopped altogether. Also that's just my experience, if you feel there is something not quite right it's best to have it checked out.

Mine's also quite irregular, I seem to build muscle more easily (and naturally have more) than other "females", am pretty hairy.. and yeah. I know my testosterone is a tad bit high though. For me that's due to PCOS I think. I'm inclined to think that because it seems that you work out a lot (it's said that lifting increases T in the body but I'm not sure if that's also true for female-bodied people), that might factor into you possibly having T levels higher than the normal female range.

I personally don't care about being tested at all, though I recently saw a dermatologist (mom thought I should go because she's concerned about my hairiness lol) and he wants me to get tested so I probably will soon. I just don't see any point in getting tested because I'm just not interested in getting my T down to the "normal" range. Could cause fertility issues but I don't care about those either. You might have different reasons though.
I'm trying to be somebody, I'm not trying to be somebody else.

PCOS, if that's what you have, is quite common to trans guys. But it is just plain common, so you can't read too much into that. I know quite a few guys with PCOS who looked like they had taken T, including one young guy.

This website doesn't have too much on trans guys (written by  a trans woman) but may be helpful.

I go the United Church of Christ, but I don't think the fundamentalist types would approve of this but they have ordained several trans men. Some folks will hang out because they don't really care re: gender identity and you can actually religiously conservative and join because no one cares re: your beliefs.

I also have a friend who is a gay trans man who was kicked out of teaching at seminary when he transitioned (in his 40s). He writes some good articles and will look up if you are interested. He is still a Christian. Here is one article he wrote that I could find:

Could be a possibility, who knows.

Sorry if I am out of place. But if you do suspect POCS get checked. While the side effects may be fantastic for trans*men there are side effects that are not, and potentially lethal.

I'd rather my brothers live long happy lives, not short ones.

Apologies, no offence meant.

Nope, not out of place IMO, Cindy. I think it's good to get checked out. I think there are degrees of it. It's not normally a lethal condition, though it could be depending.
